In 2021, 248,530 people were diagnosed with prostate cancer and 34,130 died. The 5-year survival is 97.5%. Transgender women who started anti-androgen therapy prior to age 50 are less likely to develop prostate cancer, but a small risk still exists.

In 2021, 21,410 people were diagnosed with ovarian cancer and 13,770 died. The 5-year survival is 49.1%. Transgender men who have not undergone gender-affirming hysterectomy/ovarian removal are still at risk and need to be seen annually by a gender-sensitive healthcare provider.
Normalize pelvic exams for transmen!
In 2021, 281,550 people were diagnosed with breast cancer and 43,600 died. The 5-year survival is 90.3%. Breast cancer can affect anyone, regardless of assigned sex at birth. While the risk in transgender people remains lower than the general female population, it is not zero.
